I am just about to graduate from university and I really don’t know what I want to do next. But interestingly enough, in the past, I would have defined that as a crisis, LOL. However, after years of never knowing what’s next and things still going into place, I see things differently.

Clarity doesn’t always mean you know exactly what you’re doing…It does mean you know exactly who you’re being and why.

I have recently learned that the more you know who you are in God and who God is, even in uncertain times you WILL have clarity.

Therefore, the next question you should ask to find clarity is;

Who am I?

Who is God?

The good thing is we can find the answers in the word.

I don’t intend to get into that in this article but I’m just going to leave a few links to bible verses here about your identity and God’s identity.

As you reflect on these verses you will find that you are invincible and capable of tackling any challenges your way through God and that God is faithful in ALL his promises.

So now you’ve read the verses how can you use it to live in clarity?

  • Trust God
  • Be Present
  • Believe in yourself

Trust God!!!

The word says that God loves us and He is faithful in his promises. Therefore, we should trust that things are going to fall into place and not let fear distract us from seeing.

One of the reasons why I admit, I could be so indecisive or confused at times is because of fear. I want to feel comfortable and secure in making decisions and I want to secretly stay in the comfort zone.

However, as Christians, we are called to walk by faith and not by sight and trust God a 100%. Therefore, the moment I learn to let go of the fear is the moment I don’t have to be confused and indecisive, and JUST MAKE A DECISION.

Coming to think of it, fear is literally a distraction from clarity. At times the reason why I don’t think I know what to do is because I don’t feel like I can pull off whatever I desire to do and therefore I end up looking for safer options.

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

I have learned that if you are always focusing on what you ‘need’ and worrying about the future, even if you get what you ‘need’ you will always need more- like a dog chasing after it’s own tail.

Everything is about mindset. If you always feel like you need you will always need. But if right now you learn how to live in abundance you will always have and shall not want.

What does that have to do with clarity?

If you have a mindset of abundance, it means you believe that RIGHT NOW you have all that you need to overcome the problems of the now and live in peace and wholeness. You proactively face issues and are not afraid of mistakes because mistakes are just learning opportunities.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I am learning to believe that I have the ability and capacity to solve any challenge that comes my way and pursue my dreams. I have found that allowing myself to think that way opens up my mind to see solutions to problems and opportunities.

Jesus already conquered all evil in his death and resurrection and it is up to us to rest in the fact that ‘it is finished.’  Therefore, instead of being frantic about the future, know that because Christ lives in you, you already have the ability and capacity to solve problems, make the ‘right’ decisions and succeed in life.

Right now… From this very second, you can leave in clarity. Clarity is NOT something that you get from the outside but from the inside, by knowing and being firm in who you REALLY are and who God is.
